Short version: we don't ask for personal information, and the one feature that stores anything (score-saving) is built specifically to avoid collecting it.
AltTabArcade does not require an account, email address, or real name to play any game. We don't run user tracking profiles, and we don't sell data, because we don't have any to sell.
If you choose to create a nickname to save scores and progress, here's exactly what that stores: the nickname you pick, a securely hashed version of your PIN (we never store the PIN itself in readable form), which avatar you picked, and your in-game scores and achievements. That's it. We don't ask for or store an email address, real name, IP address tied to your identity, or any other personal information as part of this feature. We explicitly ask that you not use your real name as your nickname.
Because we don't collect any way to contact or verify you, we also have no way to look up who a given nickname belongs to, recover it for you, or connect it back to a real person. See our Terms of Service for what that means if a nickname or PIN is lost — in short, there's no recovery, by design.
The site uses minimal browser storage (cookies or local storage) to keep you logged in during a session and to remember basic preferences like sound settings. This is functional, not tracking-based, and nothing here is sold or shared with advertisers.
We use standard web hosting infrastructure to serve the site. We don't embed third-party trackers, analytics pixels, or ad-network scripts on gameplay screens. If that changes, this page will be updated to say so plainly.
AltTabArcade is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. Use of this site, including the optional score-saving feature, is intended only for users 13 and older — see our Terms of Service for the full age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has created a nickname or otherwise provided information to us, we will delete that account and any associated data. If you believe a child under 13 has used the score-saving feature or provided us information, please contact us through our contact page so we can remove it.
If our data practices change, we'll update this page. Given how the site is built, we don't expect that to happen often.
